One year in Asia? Check! But who said we’d stop there? August, and we’re still happily exploring Taiwan – more than a month past our original plan. Looks like it’s time for a sequel to our Big Adventure!

A few months back, as we were battling through our Chinese classes, we found ourselves staring at a map & realized there was a whole world of adventure waiting. Our inner explorers went wild! So, we decided to extend our sabbatical and hit the road again! Our boss was surprisingly cool with it, and the travel planning began in earnest. What started as a modest list quickly turned into a full-blown itinerary. Hold on tight! This is going to be one wild ride!

We’re saying goodbye to our Taiwanese apartment at the end of August and kicking off our next chapter in Yunnan, China. By train we’re heading to the magic of Xi’an. Then we’re jetting off to South Korea for a Seoul-to-Busan adventure. Next stop? Japan for a train adventure culminating in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo.

We’re then circling back to China for a Shanghai showdown before jetting off to Nepal. Nature, the himalaya & an 8 day rafting expedition on the Sun Koshi river, will definitely bring some real outdoor action into our journey. We’ll then dive into the heart of Laos, soaking up the culture from north to south before heading to Cambodia to marvel at the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat. To wrap up our epic journey, we’re treating ourselves to some well-deserved beach time in Thailand before heading home for Christmas.

Flights are booked, hotels are sorted, and our bags are itching to be packed. Join us on this incredible journey by subscribing to our blog! Get ready for a front-row seat to our adventures.
