Last weekend, it happened. Like a virgin, touched for the very first time, we went out with our classmates to a Karaoke night. Situated in the heart of Tainan, there are lots of private Karaoke rooms you can rent. It was a fantastic night, great singers, great booze until the late hours.
We’ve always been a little skeptical about Karaoke singing, but luckily, we have lots of Asian classmates who all seem to be born in a Karaoke bar. Thanks to all for the great evening. It truly felt like we were “ABBA superstars,” belting out tunes like “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia,” making “Memories” that will last a lifetime. As we sang our hearts out, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “I Will Always Love You,” it became clear that karaoke was more than just a “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” – it was a chance to “Imagine” a world where “We Are the Champions” & “better than all the rest”. We “don’t stop believin’”. As the night came to a close, the melody of “Last Christmas I gave you my heart” filled the room, adding a touch of holiday cheer to our unforgettable karaoke experience.
